Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

This policy explains what happens to the information you give us through this website, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who runs this website

This website is run by the Legend Barbers, 8 St Anne's Road, Headingley, Leeds LS6 3NX. You can email us at james@tarkawebdesign.com. Our current contact details are always on our contact page.

What we collect and why

Messages. When you send us a message through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. It is stored on the website and emailed to us so that we can reply to you. We keep it until we delete it.

Bookings. When you book an appointment online, we receive your name, your email address, your phone number, the service and barber you chose, the date and time, and any note you add. It is stored on the website and emailed to us so that we can keep your appointment and contact you about it, and we send you an email confirming it. We keep it until we delete it.

We use what you send us only to reply to you and to look after your appointment. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone else to market to you.

Who looks after the website

The website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design Ltd, who process this information on our behalf and deliver the website's emails.

Cookies

The website sets two cookies that every visitor needs: a session cookie, which lets the website remember you from one page to the next, and a security cookie, which protects the forms from being misused. Neither is used to track you.

The website counts its visitors without using cookies.

If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags in future, a banner will ask you first, and nothing will be set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email us at the address above and we will help.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.

Staging

This is your staging site — it is not your live website. Changes land here first so you can check them before the public sees them.
